Yes, its a beautiful day
On a warm Saturday evening,
When the sun is not yet down
When the leaves babble in the wind
When the Golden Gate glisters across the horizon
When the Bay beams in joy
There's someone, stashed in a cubicle
The sun teases to draw you outside
The leaves cackle in hope for distraction
The Golden Gate glitters but is not gold
The Bay can't wash away the miseries
True happiness lies at the desktop
Or so the mind says
Some day I'll beckon the sun
To set only after I'm done
Some day I'll play with the leaves
They'll complain if I'm gone
Some day the Golden Gate will be
The gate to mirth and solace
Some day the Bay will extend
Beyond the boundaries of insignificant competition
Some day I'll go home
And find them waiting
"You've had a tiring day..
There's dhokla for dinner"
Some day I'll read Harry Potter in bed
And sleep not thinking about the next
Some day I'll wake up to the chirps of the cuckoo
Singing behind the window slide
Some day there will be no dreams to chase
But all the time to cherish
That day I'll wake up and say
"Yes, its a beautiful day"

fantastic
Each day brings its own sadness and joy,
Each day brings new life with reflections of things gone by,
Each day, in its own right, is special and cool,
Each day there is something to say "O boy! Today is beautiful"

The Power of Procrastination: Surviving Graduate School and Deciding
What's Next
Abstract:
A recent survey by U.C. Berkeley found that 95% of all graduate students
feel overwhelmed, and over 67% have felt seriously depressed at some
point in their careers. In this talk, Jorge Cham recounts his
experiences bringing humour into the lives of stressed out academics,
examines the source of their anxieties and explores the guilt, the myth,
and the power of procrastination.
Jorge Cham is the author of the "Piled Higher and Deeper" (PHD) comics
which appear regularly in several university and college newspapers
around the world. Often called the Dilbert of academia, PHD has appeared
in the Stanford, MIT, Caltech and Carnegie Mellon newspapers among
others, and it is published online where it receives over 7 million page
views a month from over 1000 universities and colleges worldwide.
I will let you know what happens
Amen :)
